Obituary for Carl F. Andreone

Carl F. Andreone
Carl F. Andreone, 88, the beloved husband of nearly 66 years to Ida (Porcello) Andreone, had resided in Reading, Massachusetts and formerly of Enfield, CT, passed away surrounded by his loving family in Atlanta, Georgia on March 23, 2014. He was born in Torrington, CT and was raised as the only son by his adoring mother, the late Mrs. Mary (Magenta) Andreone. Mr. Andreone served in World War II in the US Navy stationed in the Philippines. He continued his education and graduated from Villanova University in 1950 with a Bachelor in Science in Engineering (Chemical) but was led to working in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He traveled the world with his career, taking his family along and lived in New York, Connecticut, London England, Saudi Arabia and Massachusetts; and finally Georgia so his children could take care of him. Mr. Andreone achieved the honor of a Fellow in the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) in 1992. In 1995, he completed a textbook with his partner Stanley Yokell titled “Tubular Heat Exchanger Inspection Maintenance and Repair” that is still used in university classrooms today. He was an avid Red Sox fan, a Villanova Wildcat fan, a lifetime member of the Elks and he gave generously to Villanova University, the Catholic Church and its community. Somewhere in heaven he is eating cheese, sharing his infectious laugh and good sense of humor, drinking a Martini, and having a hot fudge sundae for desert. Mr. Andreone will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Besides his wife Ida (Porcello) Andreone; he is survived by his beloved children, Frank Andreone and his partner, Deanna Coulter of Albuquerque, NM, John Andreone of Reading, Massachusetts, Katherine Andreone of Bethlehem , GA, and Dr. Chris Andreone and his wife Sharon Andreone of Sharpsburg, GA. He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Kelly and Katelyn; and his great grandchildren, Domonique, Vincent, and Finley. In addition, he is survived by many caring brothers and sisters-in-law, and adoring nieces and nephews.
