Angel Luis Sanchez, 77, resided in Springfield, MA, for the past 15 years and prior to that in Enfield, CT for 20 years, entered into eternal rest on Sunday (July 20, 2014) with his loving family by his side at Baystate Medical Center. Angel was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Jean Louise (Levitte) Sanchez. He was born on Oct. 9, 1936 in Puerto Rico the son of the late Raphael L. and Justina Rivera Sanchez. Prior to retiring Angel owned & operated his own paving company, he was also employed by Choice Vend and some restaurants. He enjoyed boxing, working with his hands building things, tinkering on cars, loved animals, was a very caring and giving person and hard worker & provider for his family. His life revolved around his wife and loving family to which he leaves them with fond stories to cherish.
Angel is survived by his three loving daughtes, Julie L. Sakran & husband John of Monson, MA, Jeannie L. Buck of Enfield, Joanne L. Pelkey & husband Tracy of Springfield, MA, two step-children, Janice Scanlon and Jimmy Scanlon both of New Hampshire, his 14 beloved grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Jeremy, Christina, Jamie, Jeffrey, Jaianna, Jailynn, Sheena, Jessica, Jimmy, Bobby, Becky & Jonathan and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Virginia Rivera of East Hartford, Betty Ruperta of New Britain and Lydia Colon of Hartford, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and one sister. Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Saturday (July 26, 2014) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
