Joan B. (Bartlett) Farrell, 73, of Enfield entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday (July 25, 2014) at Evergreen Healthcare Ctr. in Stafford Springs. She was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Bristol, CT, daughter of the late Clifford and Pauline (Dawiczyk) Bartlett, and had resided in Enfield for the past 37 years. She was formerly employed with Pratt & Whitney, but her main focus in life was caring for her family and home. Joan was a member of Crossroads Ministries in Chicopee, MA and the National Honor Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and doing Sudoku puzzles.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Paul J. Farrell, her loving son, Mark Farrell & his wife Robin Fisher of Somers, her two sisters, Pauline Eselby of Harwinton, and Patricia Kleninoski of Torrington, many brothers & sisters-in law, along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Tuesday (July 29, 2014) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (July 30, 2014) with Pastor Anthony Cicero officiating at the funeral home followed by interment in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
