Harold “Tony” Partridge, Jr., 71 of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday (Oct. 29, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford with loved ones by his side. He was born on May 9, 1943 in Hartford, CT son of the late Harold W. and Anntoinette (Pagano) Partridge and resided in Enfield for the past 33 years. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retiring Tony was employed as a Firefighter with the City of Hartford, CT after 24 years of service, and was a member of the Fireman’s Benevolent & Fireman’s Protective Associations and Hartford Fireman’s Retirees Association. He was an avid golfer, NASCAR, NY Giants, and bigtime Yankees fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Tony is survived by his children Theresa Dickinson & her husband Charles of East Haddam, Tony Partridge & his wife Gina of Stafford Springs, Joseph Partridge of Enfield and Kristyn Walters & husband Jeff of Middletown, DE, his cherished grandchildren; Sean, Sara, Tyler, Charles, Joey and George. He is also survived by the mother of his children Judy Partridge, his siblings Alice Doyon of Rocky Hill and Carol Kostek of Cromwell, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Josephine “Bunny” Burkett.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday (Nov. 2, 2014) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (Nov. 3, 2014) at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield, CT (Meet at church). Interment with military honors will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield.
