Gilda (Sanzo) Cookish, 91, of Suffield, entered into eternal life on Tuesday (June 23, 2015). She was the beloved wife of 27 years to the late Michael Cookish (1968). Gilda was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Peter and Assunta (Piacente) Sanzo. Prior to her residence in Suffield, she lived in W. Springfield, MA and Enfield. She retired from Mercy Hospital Dietary Dept. and was Past President of the Enfield Emblem Club 380. Gilda had a passion for polka music and dancing, and enjoyed the music of Adrea Bocelli, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her two devoted daughters Joyce and Janet & their husbands, a beloved granddaughter Kim and her husband, and two cherished great grandsons Adam & Owen, along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather with her family on Friday (Jume26, 2015) from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. service at the Browne Memorial Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Enfield Loaves & Fishes, P.O. 544 Enfield, CT 06083-0544. T
