Lillian  T.   Scavotto (Cormier)
Lillian T. (Cormier) Scavotto, 95, loving wife of the late Francis Scavotto passed away on Thursday October 1, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Residence, Enfield, CT. She was born in Somersville, CT to the late Anthony and Yvonne (DeForge) Cormier. She has resided in Enfield for the past 75 years. Lillian spent her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker.
Lillian leaves behind her sons Louis and wife Debi of Hagerstown, MD, Francis and wife JoAnn of Youngstown, OH, and daughter Gerry Chaplin Russell and husband James of Enfield. She also leaves her grandchildren who she loved dearly Michelle Chaplin Scalia, Robert Chaplin, Marcello Scavotto, Francis Scavotto, Jr., Anthony Scavotto, Daniel Scavotto and Trisha Hess and 11 great grandchildren. Lillian also leaves a brother Norman Cormier and companion Anne Wietecha. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Robert Scavotto, her brothers Henry, Herman, Ernest, and Alfred Cormier and her sister Rita Brahman. The family would like to give thanks and praise for the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Residence for the loving care they gave our mother. Words cannot express how thankful we are.
Relatives and friends may gather with Lillian’s family during visiting hours on Sunday Oct. 4, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday Oct. 5, 2015 in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield followed by interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Residence 1365 Enfield Street Enfield, CT 06082.
