Brian J. Salus, of Los Angeles, CA and formerly of Enfield, CT, passed from his earthly journey at the age of 38, unexpectedly on Friday (Jan. 16, 2015) at his home. He was the beloved husband of Yuko Taketa - Salus. Brian was born on March 7, 1976, the son of Sandra (Smith) Salus of Enfield and the late Albin J. Salus. He had resided in Los Angeles for the past 10 years and in Enfield, CT prior to that. Brian was employed as an RN with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Brian touched many lives and had an impact on many people . He will be missed by his loving wife, family and friends.
Besides his wife Yuko and mother Sandy he is also survived by his loving sister and brother in-law Kathlene M. and Timothy Hosig of Enfield. Brian also leaves his beloved nephew David Joseph Stefaniak , his adored nieces Alyssa and Kara Hosig and many beloved family and friends from all over the world. He loved to travel with his wife Yuko and in his spare time enjoyed photography, playing tennis & basketball as well as hiking and camping with his friends. He was a Boston sports fan and loved UCONN MENS basketball. Brian also loved his two cat’s Kiki & Reggie.

Relatives and friends may gather during calling hours on Friday (Jan. 30, 2015) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 31, 2015) at 10:00 a.m. at Browne Chapels Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield.
