Anne Marie (Thompson) Duarte, 75, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Sunday July 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr., Hartford, CT. Anne was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Duarte (1994). She was born on July 16, 1940 in Fall River, MA a daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Farrell) Thompson and had resided in Enfield for the past 50 years.
Prior to retiring in 2000 Anne was employed with Aetna Life Insurance Co. for over 15 years.
She was a member of St. Martha Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family.
Anne is survived by her loving son Jeffrey Duarte of South Windsor, CT, her sister June McDonough of Bristol, RI, her brother John “Jack” Thompson & his wife Barbara of Norwalk, CT, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Richard, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Cathy Duarte and three brothers William, Frank & Kenneth Thompson.
Per her request there will be no calling hours. Funeral service for Anne will be held on Thursday July 30, 2015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington Rd. Hartford, CT 06106. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels is assisting her family with arrangements.
