You have heard of the smile that launced a 1,000 ships. His smile would like up the room. One of my favorite memories is the time he took me out to breakfast after church. Chris had to work that Sunday so we went to Mass and then after went to Denny's- he knew I loved eggs for breakfast. We sant and talked about the homily, and then i asked him to tell me about the Knights of Columbus, then we talked about Saint Martha's school which led to a conversation about "the Boys" . We talked about all sorts of things, and it wasnt the first time I seen him smile, but it was the first time I recognized his smile as Chris' smile. As he talked about his boys, his smile would light up his face. His boys are his pride and joy. It was all for his boys. I feel blessed to have captured that smile in my memory. This man who was serious and rough, he always made sure I didnt need for anything on my visits, we shared some very interesting outings, he was the first person who taught me how to use a sewing machine but the best gift he ever gave me aside from his Son, was his smile.
